I’ve decided to change my course at university. I was previously studying for a 4-year undergraduate Master of Engineering (MEng) course in Computer Science. I’ve now changed to a 3-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) course, so I’ll graduate at the end of next year. I’ve changed because I had a good look at the syllabus for the third and fourth year of the MEng, and noticed that there are lots of compulsory business and management modules. The fourth year is about 40% business courses. These just don’t interest me at all, and I know I wouldn’t enjoy them. So I’ve stuck with the science subjects. The plan is, hopefully, to pursue a postgraduate MSc after I’ve graduated. Assuming I’m not sick of computers by then, of course!
In related news, I’ve decided on my third year project. I’m doing Binary to Bytecode Translation. Looks interesting!
