My name is Jamie Matthews, and I was born in the North West of England. I now live in Brighton, on the South Coast.
I’ve just completed an MSc in Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems at the University of Sussex. It was essentially about turning nice, orderly computers into squishy, biological things.
I am a part-time freelance web designer and programmer, specialising in small-ish sites for musicians and artists as well as organisations and small businesses, but I’m open to anything. My portfolio is at www.bombcircle.net. I’m also currently looking for a permanent programming job.
I like making all sorts of noises using bits of wood with wires attached to them. Some of the more pleasant ones are posted on this page. I hope to one day make a shiny, magical disc containing the recorded waveforms of several of these noises. I will then make several copies of this disc and exchange them for money. In this manner I will take over the world, or at least waste some time.
Apart from noisemaking, I enjoy all sorts of things that are considered deeply uncool. I even did a degree in Uncool Studies.
I have recently found an interest in executing gravity-defying stunts with my balls.
I also like reading, watching strange comedy programmes and buying white shiny things.
