I’ve had an eventful weekend - Friday was the Manchester University Winter Ball at the Jarvis Hotel in Piccadilly Gardens. Saturday was my housemate Bennett’s 21st birthday, and we had a Pirate Themed party in our house. Both were great fun - check out the photos on the Gallery page!

Saturday night was the annual GASFest event, a large meet-up of guitarists from the Intermusic Guitarist Forum, at the Rotunda Centre in Bristol. Our department held a social event last night at Scu Bar in Manchester. I was fairly surprised at the number of people who turned up - I’ve heard it was almost 100. Not bad for a notoriously anti-social subject.
I just saw one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I was flicking
channels and happened to stop on God TV. They were showing a live
performance of an evangelical Christian hiphop band called The Tribe.
Complete with tracksuits, breakdancing and rap. The “song” was called God
Squad.
I nearly wet myself.
